Television advertising
A combination of streaming and traditional television is still the fastest way to put a message in front of a whole market at once. We plan and negotiate directly with the Minneapolis-Saint Paul stations — rate, daypart and position, station by station.
We buy the Twin Cities
Minneapolis–Saint Paul is the 15th largest television market in the United States. We negotiate it directly, station by station, rather than sending an order through a rep and accepting the card rate.
What gets argued over is not just the price. It is the daypart, the position in the pod, the programme adjacency, the make-good terms if a spot does not run, and the weight across the flight. A schedule bought on cost per thousand alone will always look competitive on a spreadsheet and underperform on air.
The stations we buy
WCCO (CBS, channel 4), KSTP (ABC, channel 5, Hubbard), KMSP (Fox, channel 9), KARE (NBC, channel 11, Tegna), WUCW (The CW, channel 23) and KPXM (Ion, channel 41). Beyond the main affiliates we also buy KSTC independent, WFTC/MyNetworkTV, TPT public television, and cable and Connected TV inventory.
What television is still best at
Reach, fast. If you need a whole market to know something inside a fortnight — a sale, an opening, a rebrand, a seasonal push with a hard end date — nothing else on the plan delivers that many households that quickly at that cost per thousand.
It is also the channel that still carries live sport, and that has not weakened. Broadcast's share of viewing actually rose year on year in June 2026, from 18.5% to 19.8%, on the back of the FIFA World Cup on Fox and Telemundo and the NBA Finals on ABC. Appointment viewing is now mostly sport, and sport is mostly still on broadcast.
Where television gets wasted
Three ways, in our experience:
- Too thin to register. A budget spread across too many stations and too many weeks buys a frequency nobody notices. Fewer stations, heavier weight, shorter flight.
- Buying the market when you serve a corner of it. If your service area is the south metro, a full-DMA buy is paying to reach Elk River and western Wisconsin. That is the case for putting part of the budget into Connected TV, which can be bought by zip code.
- No measurement plan. Television is blamed for results it was never set up to prove. Deciding in advance what it should move — and instrumenting for that — is part of the buy, not an afterthought.
Television and streaming together
These are not competing recommendations. Streaming now accounts for 48.5% of all US television viewing against broadcast's 19.8% and cable's 19.5%, per Nielsen's June 2026 Gauge. Run broadcast alone and you miss the households that no longer watch live; run streaming alone and you give up the fastest reach available. The work is in the proportion and in capping frequency across both, which is a planning job.
Let's build the plan.
Tell us the market, the budget and what a win looks like. We will come back with a plan that says exactly where it goes and what it should return.
