Who we are

We put our name on every plan we buy

RA Marketing Results is a Twin Cities advertising agency. We produce creative that inspires action, and we negotiate the media plans that put it in front of the right audience. Not flashy or fancy — we work hard, and we have proven results to show for it.

Three things, done properly

Most of what goes wrong in advertising is a good message in the wrong place, or the right place carrying a weak message. We do both halves, so neither one gets blamed for the other.

That is the whole argument for how this agency is arranged. Creative and media buying sit under the same roof, which means the person writing the spot knows what daypart it lands in and the person buying the schedule knows what it has to carry. The common alternative — a creative shop and a media shop that never speak — produces work that is individually competent and collectively wrong.

What we actually believe about media

  • A plan is not a list of channels. It is a schedule — what runs, how heavily, and in what order, so each channel does the job it is genuinely good at. That is set out on the media planning page.
  • Negotiated beats ordered. Rate, position, weight and make-goods are all worth money and none of them is on the rate card.
  • Thin plans are the most expensive kind. A budget spread until nobody notices it costs the same as one that works and proves nothing. We would rather run fewer channels properly and say so.
  • Reporting includes the bad news. An agency that only surfaces wins is selling, not reporting, and you find out the difference at renewal.

The market we know

Minneapolis–Saint Paul, the 15th largest television market in the country. We negotiate directly with the stations here, we know which suburban weeklies still have real readership, and we know which stretches of I-494 are worth paying for. Local knowledge is not a slogan on a media plan — it is the difference between buying the market and buying your corner of it.

It is also a market in the middle of a genuine structural change. Streaming now takes 48.5% of all television viewing in the US, more than broadcast and cable combined, and the money is following it every year. We buy Connected TV because that is where the audience went, not because it is the current word.

How we work with clients

You tell us the market, the budget and what a win looks like. We come back with a plan that says exactly where the money goes and what it should return. Then we buy it, and every month we show you what happened — the figures pulled from the accounts, nothing rounded up, and anything that could not be measured marked as such rather than filled in with a zero.

No flash, no jargon. A media plan with our signature on it means we negotiated it, we are accountable for it, and we can show you what it returned.
