Advertising in Bloomington
The third largest city in Minnesota and the metro's centre of gravity for retail and hospitality. If your customer arrives by car off I-494, this is the most concentrated audience in the state.
The Bloomington market
Bloomington holds Mall of America, the largest concentration of hotel rooms in Minnesota, the Normandale corridor, and the headquarters of The Toro Company. It sits directly north of the airport and is crossed east to west by I-494, which makes it one of the highest-traffic stretches of road in the region.
What makes Bloomington different to buy
It is really two markets. East Bloomington was largely built in the 1950s and 60s — smaller post-war housing, older systems, a genuine market for heating, windows, roofing and electrical work. West Bloomington skews newer, larger and higher-income. A plan that treats the city as one audience will get the creative wrong for at least half of it.
What we would put on the plan
Outdoor earns its place here more than almost anywhere in the metro: the I-494 corridor delivers the same commuters twice a day, and position on that road is worth paying for. Beyond that, Connected TV split by the east and west zip codes lets one budget run two different messages against two different housing profiles, which is exactly what this city calls for.
Areas we cover in Bloomington
Mall of America and the South Loop, the I-494 strip, Normandale, Oxboro, Penn Lake, East Bloomington, West Bloomington, Bush Lake and Hyland Park.
Where to start
Tell us the zip codes you will actually drive to. In a metro this spread out, the service area changes the plan more than the budget does — and getting it wrong is how most of a good budget disappears. See how a plan gets built, or read why Connected TV has become the practical way to buy television against one city rather than sixteen counties.
Population is a US Census-based 2026 estimate via World Population Review. The Minnesota State Demographic Center's 2024 estimate differs slightly; both put Bloomington in the same position among metro cities.
Let's build the plan.
Tell us the market, the budget and what a win looks like. We will come back with a plan that says exactly where it goes and what it should return.
